On this day 25 years ago, Kim Campbell was chosen to lead the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada—and she became the first and only female Prime Minister of Canada. Campbell was also the first baby boomer to hold that office, and the only Prime Minister born in British Columbia. She held the position until November. (1993)
