. And Stand by My Rant!!!
The woman who was recorded going OFF on restaurant diners about a veteran’s service dog being allowed inside says the clip of her profanity-laced tirade doesn’t tell the full story.
Ciara Miller tells TMZ … before the camera started rolling, a woman at Kathy’s Crab House in Delaware called her the n-word and other customers hurled racial slurs at her for leaving because she didn’t like the dog being near her while she ate. She says that’s why she was captured on video screaming at them.
Miller admits she was grossed out by the dog, but claims she was leaving peacefully until she was accosted in front of her daughter by the woman and other people who knew the veteran with the dog.
Ciara tells us she has family members who served in the military with PTSD, so she understands the need for service dogs … but she still doesn’t like them in restaurants personally.
. Josh Duhamel was tired of his pop-star wife Fergie’s “partying” before their breakup, we’re told.
Sources close to the actor tell us that he didn’t want to split with his wife of eight years.
According to pals their marriage broke down over the course of about a year, in spite of trying couples’ therapy.
The former Black Eyed Peas singer was a notorious party animal in her youth, and even battled drug problems — although there has been no suggestion she has started using drugs again.
Reps didn’t get back to us.
A University of New Hampshire sorority is facing considerable backlash after video emerged showing members repeating the N-word as they sing along to a Kanye West song.
The video, originally posted to Snapchat, features dozens of girls in the Alpha Phi sorority — none of whom appear to be African-American — loudly crooning the lyrics to “Gold Digger” while the 2005 hit plays in the background.
The footage was then published to the All Eyes on UNH Facebook page, which was created to “expose injustices” on the university’s campus. “The girls sing the n-word without thinking of the implications,” the video post reads. “The university statement suggesting there would be an investigation and possible disciplinary action was not accurate,” Kratz said. “The students have apologized and will play an active role in working to improve our campus culture as we move forward. The university has a strong commitment to the First Amendment. We also have an obligation and a role to play in helping students understand how their words and actions might impact other members of our community and we will continue to work to ensure every member of our community feels respected. “If you know the lyrics so well, then you should know when the word is coming up and literally shut your mouth. Not a word for us (white people) to use under any circumstances,” wrote a user named Sofia Ford.
. If you are not a child, or do not have children yourself, you may find the mere title of The Lego Ninjago Movie to beg some kind of explanation. I’ll do what I can.
Characters and ideas — the Kragle, Cloud Cuckoo Land — had the kind of improvised, imperfect quality of something named by a kid who was world-building as he went along (which turned out to be the case).
Now, with Lego Ninjago Movie, we are fully in Proprietary Legoland, and what’s being sold is nothing so vague as “the creative spirit.” Our heroes are exactly as they appear on the shelves of Toys R Us (or perhaps more accurately, the product pages of Amazon.com.) They are Kai, the fire ninja, and Cole, the earth ninja (needlessly voiced by Michael Peña and Fred Armisen, respectively); Zane, the ice/robot ninja (Zach Woods, basically doing one long “how do you do, fellow kids” bit); Nya, the water ninja (Abbi Jacobson); and Jay, the lightning ninja (Kumail Nanjiani); and finally Lloyd, the green ninja (Dave Franco), shamed son of Garmadon himself.
So rather than a satire of a generic hero narrative, or even a specific branded one, Ninjago is a confounding hybrid: a vague mash-up of martial arts, giant monster, and mecha genres, set in an even vaguer Asian-fusion metropolis with the additional layer of obfuscation in the form of the Legos themselves.
The plot concerns teenaged Lloyd, whose father Garmadon (Justin Theroux, with an impressively convincing Will Arnett impression) terrorizes the citizens of Ninjago on a daily basis while Lloyd keeps him at bay with his ninja team. Everyone at school hates Lloyd because of his father; they don’t know about his heroic double life.
. TV insiders believe that senior NBC staffers leaked the instantly infamous tape of Lawrence O’Donnell’s meltdown, in retaliation for his antics during contract negotiations this spring.
Mediate published an 8-minute video of O’Donnell raging at staff during breaks in an Aug. 29 live broadcast of “The Last Word,” screaming at the staff to silence people in the control room and stop a “hammering” sound.
Sources connected with the leak tell Page Six the video was slipped to the site as a broadcast-quality digital clip — and that only a handful of people are believed to be capable of accessing and transmitting such a file. Multiple sources tell us that O’Donnell angered NBC honcho Andy Lack — who also oversees MSNBC — in May by tweeting to fans about his contract negotiations.
“If a news show and a talk show had a baby, that’s us,” she said of “Megyn Kelly Today,” which starts Monday, in an interview from her fifth-floor corner office at Rockefeller Plaza.
The premiere of the much anticipated morning talk show effectively begins NBC’s Great Megyn Kelly experiment.
There are reasons for this: Many TV stars before Ms. Kelly — Katie Couric, Jane Pauley and Anderson Cooper among them — have taken a stab at solo daytime talk shows and failed; Ms. Kelly’s Sunday evening show courted controversy and generated middling ratings; her competition, Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest’s “Live,” is formidable; daytime audiences are significantly more diverse and female-driven than the audience for her Fox News show; and, well, people in the television industry like to sharpen their knives when a big personality tries something new.
Her 9 p.m. show was No.
Still, Fox News was prepared to pay her more than $20 million a year for the job she wasn’t born to do.
“If I had sat there saying, ‘I have job security here at Fox News, they’re not going to fire me, they’re going to pay me very well,’ that would have been a decision based on fear,” she said.
Ms. DeGeneres is good at producing laughs from her audience. “Megyn Kelly Today” has pledged to do the same.
“The safety of the cast and crew on all of our productions is of paramount importance to the Studio,” a studio spokesperson said in a pair of statements issued Thursday.
Apa was treated by first responders on the scene and visited by doctors the following morning before returning to set the day after the crash.
Regarding Apa’s crash, the studio spokesperson said, “First and foremost, we are extremely grateful that KJ Apa was uninjured during his recent accident. On the day of the accident, KJ worked 14.2 hours.
Warner Bros. does not provide transportation to and from the show’s Vancouver set. However, the studio’s policy for “Riverdale” and all of its series is to provide transportation upon request for all cast and crew should they feel too tired to drive at the end of the workday. A source says that the studio policy of providing a car service or taxi — as well as a nearby hotel room — upon request to any cast or crew member was announced at the start of production this season and is reiterated periodically in notices attached to call sheets.
But did you know that the books have been translated into over 60 languages?
OK. That was another easy one.
But I bet that most of you didn’t know that Tom Riddle’s name is an anagram in every language his name has been adapted to.
What’s your favorite translation/anagram combo from the worldwide translations of Harry Potter books?
. The Baldpate Inn, nestled in Estes Park, Colorado, is home to more than 20,000 keys. They’ve been receiving donations since World War II, which is how they’ve managed to collect keys to some pretty amazing locations – places that seem very far away from the little Colorado town.
The keys are organized by state and by country, and they include openers to Westminster Abbey, Mozart’s wine cellar, Frankenstein’s Castle, and even Hitler’s bunker. Stateside, they’ve got keys to the Pentagon and the White House bathroom, and probably some others they’re not allowed to put on display.
The collection is inspired by a novel written in 1913 called The Seven Keys to Baldpate, a story about a man who visits the (fictional, at the time) Baldpate Inn. Keys are a key (heh) element of the story, so when the owners of the current Estes Park lodge picked out a name, they chose Baldpate and decided to honor the importance of keys in the story.
Life is weird. So is this key collection, but now it’s 100% on my list of places to visit.
. The 25-year-old criminal was known for stealing cars and transporting them between states to sell illegally.
On October 11, 1925, Special Agent Edwin Shanahan received a tip that Martin Durkin would be arriving at a garage in Chicago to drop off a car he had stolen and driven up from New Mexico.
As Shanahan waited by himself, Martin Durkin drove the stolen car up to the garage.
Shanahan died instantly, becoming the first FBI agent to be killed in the line of duty.
A few weeks after Shanahan’s murder, law enforcement received a tip that Durkin would be at a house in Chicago. Gray died five days later. He had now killed an FBI agent and a Chicago police officer.
The Missouri agents and local police arranged to have the train stopped before it reached its final destination, and Durkin was arrested just outside St. Louis.
Durkin admitted to murdering Agent Shanahan, but at the time killing an FBI agent was not a federal crime, so Durkin was tried and sentenced in the state of Illinois.
. A new feature in iOS 11, “Do Not Disturb While Driving” figures out if you’re driving or not and toggles Do Not Disturb accordingly. Here’s how to enable the feature.
It’s best to get rid of those distractions in the first place, instead of simply trying to resist the temptation.
To access the feature, start by opening up the Settings app and tap on “Do Not Disturb”.
By default it’s set to “Manually”, but you can change it to either “Automatically” or “When Connected to Car Bluetooth”. Otherwise, select “Automatically”.
When enabled, your iPhone will display a constant alert saying that you won’t receive any notifications while you’re driving.
If you try to unlock your iPhone while you’re driving, it won’t unlock.
. Many of the world’s largest retailers and food companies have agreed to better labeling of products by 2020 in a bid to radically cut food waste, they announced Wednesday.
Large global companies, including Wal-Mart Stores, Tesco, Kellogg, Nestle, Carrefour and Unilever, supported a “call to action” sponsored by the Consumer Goods Forum and unveiled on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
The initiative is designed to eliminate multiple labels on food such as manufacturing and display dates that can baffle shoppers and lead to unnecessary food waste. “We as consumers are a bit confused. Because food is not necessarily expensive, when in doubt, people throw it away,” said Ignacio Gavilan, director of sustainability for the Consumer Goods Forum. “So what we basically need is absolute clarity.”
Under the initiative, perishable items such as smoked salmon would have a “use by” date, while other products such as pasta or sugar would have a “best by” date, Gavilan said.
Other information — such as manufacturing dates or batch numbers — could go on barcode that would not be legible to consumers.
. The family said it was also at work on a production of “Joe’s Garage The Musical” — a rock opera about the government seizing control of the music business, which did not appear on stage until after Zappa’s death — with Zappa himself starring by hologram.
Zappa — whose music merged hard rock and jazz with absurdist lyricism inspired by Dadaist art — died in 1993 of prostate cancer.
His wife Gail took over his estate and brought his total output to some 100 album releases.
Ahmet indicated hope for reconciliation in a statement announcing the hologram tour, saying it would be his “greatest wish” to see Dweezil and Moon performing with Frank Zappa.
Jeff Pezzuti, head of the firm Eyellusion which will design the hologram, called Frank Zappa “an incredible musician, unmatched in his output,” who “tackled so many different genres and influenced a generation of artists that would go on to help further shape rock and pop for decades to come.”
Zappa’s notable fans include the Czech Republic’s first post-communist leader Vaclav Havel, who made the Los Angeles rocker an unofficial cultural ambassador.
Holograms broke into the mainstream in 2012 when slain rap legend Tupac Shakur appeared at the Coachella music festival.
Holograms have become increasingly common since then, with late stars ranging from Billie Holiday to Liberace taking the stage again.
. The fire station in Grodno was built in 1902 to provide the city with a watchtower that was taller than the previous one. At 105 feet (32 meters) above ground, someone would always be on duty keeping an eye open for any fires spreading in the city. If a blaze was spotted, the lookout would ring a bell to alert the team of the danger.
On the side of the building below the tower there is a painted mural, depicting 16 people dressed in historical firefighter and army uniforms. Yet there is more to this mural than first meets they eye. If you close closely at their faces, you might notice that one of the people looks almost identical to one of the most well-known faces in the world: Mona Lisa’s.
. In the 27 years since the Hubble Space Telescope settled into orbit, it’s returned some stunning images and fascinating discoveries. It added another to the list recently, when it trained its lenses on asteroid 288P.
It turns out that 288P isn’t your typical hunk of space rock. As the asteroid neared the sun last September, Hubble saw that 288P is not one but two asteroids, roughly the same size, that orbit each other about 62 miles apart. That may seem like a tiny gap, but for a binary asteroid system, it’s huge. Based on how the asteroid system moves, a team of astronomers think it’s only been a binary system for about 5,000 years. Before that, it was probably one asteroid, which then broke apart because it was rotating too quickly.
Little did he know, that purse would become his key to recovery.
When he found the expensive purse in “an unsavory part of town”, he found a wallet, several receipts, utility bills, and notes belonging to someone named Kaitlyn.
He was kicked out of stores when he tried asking for directions and he had to sell his bus pass in exchange for a subway ticket.
“My roommate and I were walking down our street to a friend’s surprise party when I saw a man in a tattered, dirty white t-shirt and jeans hustling toward us, head down… carrying my purse!” says Kaitlyn.
“I offered the man money to buy it, which he politely declined and insisted he had to return it to a lady named Kaitlyn, who lived up the street.
It was on this drive that Aeric told his new acquaintance about how he was a drug user. He also explained how he used to run a lucrative landscaping business until an accident left him unable to work three years ago. The painkillers, combined with his loss of income, led him down the slippery slope to addition.
. Almost 20 per cent of those who attempted to quit in the first half of 2017 have succeeded in giving up smoking tobacco.
The data shows that quitting success rates increased from a low of 13.4 per cent in 2010 to a high of 19.8 per cent in the first six months of 2017.
Discover the good news that matters.
Previous studies suggest that e-cigarettes are significantly safer than tobacco cigarettes (95 per cent safer according to Public Health England), however there are still concerns about their health implications. Unlike regular cigarette smoke, e-cigarette vapour doesn’t contain two of the most harmful elements: tar and carbon monoxide. But many e-cigarettes still contain addictive nicotine which, according to experts at Harvard Medical School, can lead to type 2 diabetes and negatively impact the brain.
In 2016, Stoptober reported that 53 per cent of those taking part in its month of smoking abstinence used an e-cigarette as a quitting aid.
As well as e-cigarettes, the UCL research acknowledged the role of restrictions on smoking in public places, the banning of attractive imagery on tobacco packaging and the rise of a strong anti-smoking culture in England in contributing to the trend.
. In the upper-right of the “Control Panel” window, change the “View By” dropdown to “Large Icons” to make things much easier to navigate, and then double-click the “Mouse” app.
The various collections of pointers and cursors in the “Scheme” dropdown is what most people want: you can switch to a black or white pointer for better contrast in windows, or make the cursor larger or smaller to suit your vision.
The “Pointer trails” option leaves “after-images” of the pointer while it’s moving, making it easier to track for those with vision difficulties or using a small screen.
You can change that value here, or even set the wheel to move a whole screen of text at a time.
Back in the main “Control Panel” window, click the “Ease of Access Center” link and, in the next window, click the “Make the mouse easier to use” option.
The “Make the mouse easier to use” window contains a number of useful settings.
It lets you switch Windows’ focus to a specific application without clicking on the app’s window.
. Android absolutely will not allow permissions to be changed when an overlay is running, thus resulting in the “Screen Overlay Detected” error.
Similarly, apps like CF.lumen and Twilight draw on the screen when enabled, so you’ll need to pause or disable those services to get rid of the screen overlay error.
From there, you’ll find the “Draw over other apps” menu.
Samsung also makes it easier by adding the toggle beside the app name, and not in a separate menu.
From here, it should work just like stock Android—tap the “Draw over other apps” option and you’ll find yourself where you need to be.
. Tethering your phone’s internet connection, which allows users to share their phone’s data connection with other devices, is really useful if you’re out and about with no Wi-Fi, but some carriers block the feature from your phone.
If you’re rooted, though, you have a much better option: re-enable Android’s built-in hotspot features.
If you’re not rooted, you’re automatically out on this one.
The Xposed framework unlocks a lot of incredibly powerful tools for Android, so it’s basically a must-have for rooted users.
Once you’re rooted and all set up with Xposed or Magisk, you’re only a few taps away from bypassing tethering verification.
Go ahead and tap the “Activate and Reboot” button.
A dialog box asks if you want to download or install it—go ahead and install.
After the phone is finished rebooting, jump into Settings > More > Tethering & Portable Hotspot to verify that tethering is indeed working.
. If you crop a large panorama seamlessly, you can post the different segments as multiple photos and get a swipeable panorama.
Swipeable makes it easier to remove the watermark the app ties to your image, but the app won’t let you control how many pieces each panorama is cropped into.
In Swipable, just tap on the image a few times. In Unsquared, tap the “X” on the watermark, and then wait for the video to end.
Posting the panorama is just like posting any group of photos to Instagram. Open Instagram, create a new a post, tap the album icon, and then select the images you want to upload. Make sure to select them in the right order so that the panorama works.
The Merkez Restaurant in a small eastern Turkish town of Karakocan is one of the many establishments across the town where those in need are invited to eat free of charge.
The tradition has been carried down from generation to generation for decades.
Mehmet Ozturk, 55, the owner of Merkez, says he always keeps at least three tables reserved for the needy, even during rush hour when his restaurant is packed.
Ozturk says at least 15 people come to his restaurant every day to receive a free meal.
Galip (pictured below) is one of the familiar faces at the restaurant who has eaten there every day for the last 10 years.
Suffering from mental illness, Galip doesn’t say much. “The Merkez is my favourite place in town, because the food is great,” he told Middle East Eye.
According to residents, the tradition to feed the needy for free first started in the 1940s at the Merkez Restaurant, one of the first eateries in town, when the former owners started offering free meals to those in need every day. The practice was quickly picked up by other restaurants in the area.
He used to look for needy people to feed on the streets, bring them in groups to the restaurant sometimes three, sometimes five times a day,” Ozturk says.

. Cardi B’s alleged choking incident with a NYC cop has all the earmarkings of the so-called hip-hop cops … at least as far as her bf, Offset, is concerned.
The Migos rapper told us how he reacted when Cardi called him after the alleged incident. We broke the story … Cardi says a NYC cop put her in a choke hold Tuesday night and pinned her against her Bentley SUV.
Neither Cardi nor NYPD have offered an explanation for why the cop would have done this … IF he did. So, we raised the possibility it was the hip-hop cops — the alleged secret unit of law enforcement tasked with pinning crimes on innocent hip-hop stars.
Offset believes it’s a strong theory … although he ain’t gung-ho to talk about it in public.
I bet he looked at some liberal talking point, bought it hook, line and sinker, and went after Bill Cassidy without talking to him, and I think that’s unfair,” Graham said on “FOX & Friends.”
Graham said that their health-care bill will cover pre-existing conditions, while adding that he sympathized with Kimmel, whose child had been diagnosed with a heart condition shortly after birth.
Bill Cassidy is a doctor who worked in a nonprofit hospital serving the underprivileged.
The measure, put forward by Cassidy, Graham and other Republican lawmakers, aims to give more power to states by converting ObamaCare funding for subsidies — which help people afford health-care coverage and pay for Medicaid expansion — into block grants to states.
. Billy Bush and his wife are separating just 12 months after the ‘p****gate’ scandal in which he was caught on video laughing with Donald Trump who boasted he grabbed women by the p****.
The former host of NBC’s Today programme, who lost his job as a result of the scandal, is splitting from his wife Sydney Davis after 20 years of marriage which saw them have three daughters together.
The 2005 tape was made while Bush was host of Access Hollywood and Mr Trump was a guest. When the tape leaked before the presidential election in 2016 it sparked outrage.
Bush said at the time: “Obviously I’m embarrassed and ashamed. It’s no excuse, but this happened 11 years ago – I was younger, less mature, and acted foolishly in playing along.
On the break-up of his marriage, Bush’s publicist, Jill Fritzo, said in a statement that the couple had “separated for the moment to evaluate their life together.”
She added: “They love each other and their children deeply and are committed to a bright future.”
. “With heavy hearts, Laurence and I quietly separated and began the dissolution of our marriage in the early fall of last year,” the actress said in a statement to E! Only a love story with a different ending than either one of us had expected.” “As well as raise each other up with respect and love and the continued understanding that we’re in this together, if not side by side.”
Neither has been been seen wearing a wedding ring in public in months.
Fishburne also has an adult son and daughter from a previous marriage.

. Season 12 of AGT may come through as one of the best talent shows in history.
I simply urge you to watch it online or watch the replay on linear TV on Friday night!
Singer solo performances captured the lion’s share of the night, with five acts. Their performances were incredible, but their stories are out of this world: Kechi, a plane crash survivor from Houston who was spared from hurricane Harvey while rehearsing in Los Angeles; Mandy Harvey, a deaf singer with perfect pitch; Angelica Hale, a 9-year-old prodigy who survived kidney transplant; Evie Clair, who sang a tribute to her dad, who died from cancer a few days ago; and Chase Goehring, a self-taught singer-songwriter, representing all passionate artists who just won’t succumb to rejection.
There were three comedic and performing acts with more inspiring stories: Preacher Lawson, the 2015 best comedian in Florida, who Cowell predicts will be signed within eight weeks; Sara Carson, who was saved from depression by her dog Hero, and who lived in her car before performing with Hero in AGT; and Darci Lynne (my daughters’ favorite), a 12-year-old singing ventriloquist with comedic talent.
What has been limited is the industry’s ability to find and filter top talent. Without the advent of reality talent shows, it is quite likely these 10 amazing acts would have never seen the light of day.
. Rosie, 55, reacted Tuesday on Twitter after daughter Chelsea O’Donnell announced she’s expecting a baby with husband Nick Alliegro in an interview with The Daily Mail.
Rosie also called out the Daily Mail reporter who conducted Chelsea’s interview, Martin Gould, alleging the journalist took advantage of her daughter. “thats martin gould – predatory reporter for the daily mail – old creepy man who pays my ill daughter to do interviews – [expletive] u Martin Gould,” she wrote.
Chelsea shared her excitement at becoming a mom in the interview, but said Rosie will play no role in her child’s life. “I really don’t care if I have a boy or a girl, I’m just hoping for a healthy baby,” she added. “Nick would really like a boy. But as far as I am concerned so long as it’s healthy that’s what matters.”
Reports surfaced today that some very lucky fans got to attend a special screening of Joss Whedon’s Justice League cut. And, if Batman News heard right, then the film is said to be quite epic.
Over on Twitter, Batman News dug into the DCEU fandom to find a few of the film’s attendees.

It’s been confirmed that Warner Bros. did do a test screening of Justice League, but fans who showed proof they attended said they basically signed their lives away.
If the superhero film underwent such changes, Warner Bros. has reason to test the film so early.

. Earlier this month, the premiere dates of the upcoming final season of Star Wars Rebels alluded to the series wrapping up before the debut of The Last Jedi, but The Star Wars Show has revealed the season will take a holiday break, with the final episodes airing next year.
Despite having to wait for 2018 to see the end of the animated series, the new broadcast schedule features multiple airings of new episodes, with the first broadcast being at 12:30 AM ET on Mondays.
Based on the above schedule, Lucasfilm is avoiding any overlap between Rebels and The Last Jedi, possibly as to focus on each property individually. With the untitled Han Solo movie hitting theaters in May, we should expect the final round of episodes to wrap up long before promotion begins for that film.
Star Wars Rebels premieres Monday, October 16 at 12:30 am on Disney XD.
. Darci Lynne Farmer is the winner of America’s Got Talent!
Farmer, who becomes the second ventriloquist to win the NBC reality competition show, burst into tears, hugging her rabbit puppet Petunia as her two brothers rushed the stage to congratulate her.
Farmer became the third female act to win America’s Got Talent in 12 seasons.
A big highlight from night two of the live finals was when the Oklahoma native performed with her “idol” Terry Fator, who won season 2 of AGT with his puppet, Winston the Impersonating Turtle, and signed a $100 million five-year contract with The Mirage hotel in Las Vegas.
The pair performed “Anything You Can Do” from Annie Get Your Gun.
Weeks ago, during the audition process, Farmer impressed judge Mel B so much that the Spice Girl member chose her as the recipient of the coveted Golden Buzzer, sending Farmer straight to the live shows.
Farmer beat out nine other finalists including singers Kechi Okwuchi, Evie Clair, Angelica Hale, Chase Goehring, and Mandy Harvey in addition to comedian Preacher Lawson, dog trainer Sara & Hero, and dance troupes Light Balance and Diavolo.
In addition to the title of season 12 champion, Farmer also wins $1 million and a headlining gig at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas from Sept. 3-4.
. The “mystery man” dating Laurence Fishburne’s wife, Gina Torres, is a “cowboy type” father of six from Utah.
We’re told that Torres met divorced entrepreneur Kevin Wright on the beach in Dana Point, Calif., in mid-August — and that they have since become a serious couple.
Sources say that Wright wasn’t even aware of who the former “Suits” star was when they first met. But they bonded over the fact that they have both recently left long relationships: Torres has split with Fishburne after 15 years together, and Wright ended a 20-year marriage within the past two years.
A source close to the new couple told us, “I think when you’ve been married a long time and you become single, you look for someone that has what your ex was missing. I think [Torres] finds in Kevin what she didn’t find in [Fishburne]. He’s the opposite of a Hollywood guy — he’s just a cowboy type.
. But now, Pennywise the clown has tough competition from two new releases — Fox’s “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” and “The Lego Ninjago Movie” from Warner Bros.
The sequel to “Kingsman: The Secret Service” looks like the leader of the pack. It’s tracking with a wide-ish margin in the $40 millions from more than 4,000 locations. That would be an improvement on the original, which had a domestic opening of $36.2 million. observers should look abroad for the second go-around as well.
Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, and Taron Egerton topline the action comedy and are joined by supporting characters played by Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, and perhaps most notably, Elton John.
The franchise has historically posted impressive figures for Warner Bros. The first “Lego Movie” opened to $69.1 million in February of 2014. And “The Lego Batman Movie” opened earlier this year to $53 million, ending its run as the highest grossing movie of the winter with $175.8 million.
You can toggle Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off from the Control Center, but the hardware radios will still be running and they’ll turn back on completely at 5 a.m.
It will also be re-enabled if you toggle Wi-Fi back on or choose to join a Wi-Fi network from Settings.
It will also be re-enabled if you toggle Bluetooth back on or connect to a Bluetooth device from Settings.
In other words, Apple wants things to “Just Work”, so they don’t want users easily disabling Wi-Fi and Bluetooth from the Control Center.
If you toggle Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off via the quick toggles in the Control Center, they’ll just appear as “Not Connected” in the Settings app instead of “Off”.
If you disable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth from Settings, they will be fully disabled until you re-enable them again.
To disable Bluetooth, head to Settings > Bluetooth and toggle the Bluetooth slider off.
