50 years ago today, Simon and Garfunkel went to No.1 on the US album chart with the soundtrack to The Graduate. The film’s lead track, ‘Mrs. Robinson’ boosted the profile of the folk-rock duo and the soundtrack LP rose to the top of the charts. (1968)
